Flight
of Fancy Farm
OK - we know
- strange name for a small hobby dog breeder. But in our
younger years we did raise and train horses, raise
parrots, and compete in endurance riding. It was a farm
and it certainly could be considered a "flight of fancy".
Through it all, we had German Shepherd Dogs to help out. And
we have been members of the local German Shepherd Dog Club
for years.
Then as the
bodies aged to the point that horses were no longer as much
fun, we became long distance movers (Gray Beard
Trucking), had caretakers for the horses and birds, and took
the dogs on the road with us. If you want to have fun just
pull up at a rest area, put down the ramp, and have dog
after dog stroll out of cab of the big orange truck.
We travel
less now and are again breeding an occasional litter.
Papillon or Shepherd, the dogs all have to be able to be our
companions in whatever we do. They go where we go, do what
we do, and keep the property safe. For both Papillons and
Shepherds, we use both domestic and imported bloodlines to
get those qualities we value so.
So if you
happen to see the big orange truck stopped somewhere or are
near Colton, OR, stop by and visit with us and the dogs -
the coffee is always on and the dogs are always up for a
good game of fetch. |
